Beef sales as side quarter or whole. Grass fed calves sold direct from their dam at 12 months old.

Beef cattle, sold as sides of beef, are aged 9 to 12 months, grass fed and reared on their dam
(mother).
Animals have not been treated with hormone growth promotants or antibiotics. Nor have they
been fed processed animal feeds.
Animals are slaughtered at Radfords Abattoirs, then butchered at Trafalgar Butcher Shop,
meeting all legal and health requirements for the sale of meat.
Please note that these animals have a live weight (lwt) of 350 to 400 Kg. on delivery to the
abattoirs. They leave the abattoirs as weighed hanging sides. Each side weighs about 85 to
110 Kg. This is the weight (cwt) that the price is calculated on. The final meat you receive
will have had bones removed, and will weigh 50 to 70 Kg., per side, plus sausages if
requested.
Sausages cost an additional $3.00 per kilogram if required. Each side yields about 6 to 10 Kg
of sausages. The cost of sausages is paid directly to the butcher on pick up.
Quarters may only be available as standard cuts, as shown highlighted. Please select your
choices, but be prepared for some cuts to revert to standard cuts. This is dependent on the
choices for the other quarter.
Please fill in the attached form, detailing
your cutting requirements. All meat will be
packed on styrofoam trays and frozen. For

Once complete your meat can be collected
from the Butchery. This is located on at 14
Contingent Street Trafalgar.
You will be advised when your meat is
ready for collection.
